The Art of Magick, or would it be the Magick of Art? Thinking about practices like witchcraft, magick, and many things that involve this universe is to speak of Art, with a capital A. There is a whole study behind the knowledge that is being acquired, and it's not little. Reading, seeking to know, to understand. However, there is a knowledge that is much more valuable, which is acquired through contact, through experience with the energies with which we propose to come into contact. There is something grandiose in these experiences, as they are unique, individual, particular. They come filled with symbolism and meaning that are directly connected to our framework of knowledge, but go far beyond that because they allow us to experience, to live it within ourselves. The gnosis achieved becomes much greater because it occurs empirically. No experience will be the same as another, and one's experience will not be like another's, even if they go through the same processes. The contact with energies, with gods, etc., is something very peculiar.
Criticism and judgments may arise because, as I said above, people have different experiences. There would be no right or wrong, there is the personal. There is what makes sense to each one, what is real for each one. Paying attention to the signs is very important because they can appear subtly or very, very directly (and I say this from my own experience with various events linked to the Triad and the Tradition of the Primordial Dragon). Being attentive and open to experiences is important. So I think it is essential to align knowledge with practice, studies with experience. Learning about history, mythology, signs, symbols, and various types of study is important, and I say this because I am an tireless devourer of books, I yearn to learn, I like it, even though I sometimes feel panicked and exhausted because I want to do so many things at the same time. However, learning directly from the source is much, much more valuable, real, worthwhile, true.It is a true honor for this to happen. And I may say this is a great advice from people I cherish and respect.
Therefore, I think we equip ourselves, build our apparatus, our equipment, prepare our body, exercise body, mind, energy, but we need to put ourselves in contact with the forces to which we connect. And in the case of the forces linked to the Tradition of the Primordial Dragon, speaking for myself, I proceed with caution and respect. And I feel honored to be able to tread this path.
